Which one should I choose?eNovativePiano provides three formats for Workbooks. When customizing a curriculum, you will be prompted to choose one of these formats. These formats determine how your workbook will be organized and displayed to your students. This post explains the unique features of each format to help you determine the best choice for your classes and students.

What are these three formats?

Date Format

If you have been teaching with eNovativePiano for a while, you are most likely using a date format Workbook. Choosing this format allows you to organize your Workbook lessons by due dates and is an excellent way to keep students on task. A date format Workbook can serve as a lesson plan that both the students and teacher can follow during class time.

Date Format

Unit/Subject Format

If you choose this highly customizable format you will be able to organize your Workbook lessons using unit or subject titles that you create and arrange. This format gives you flexibility in pacing as your assignments are not governed by dates and they do not expire.

eNovativePiano Curriculum Format

Choosing this format will emulate eNovativePiano’s curriculum sequence, and it is a real time saver. Your Workbook lessons will automatically be organized and sequenced by eNovations and will include eNovativePiano’s topic headings. Nevertheless, you will still have the ability to reorder and customize your lessons once they are imported into your Workbook.

What if I change my mind! Can I switch formats?

Go ahead and experiment. Our Workbook formats are flexible and it is easy to make changes. If you want to try out a different format, you can convert from a ‘Date’ format to ‘Unit/Subject’ format and vice versa. You cannot, however, convert from either of these formats TO an eNovativePiano curriculum format.

What are the pros and cons of the different formats?

Each format has its strengths. You will need to decide which format works best for you and your students. Watch the video below to learn more about each format.
